Recent events have highlighted the tragic reality of racial discrimination that Black and Brown people face daily. This has resulted in an awakening for some and presents an opportunity to build a better world for us all. We believe in equal rights for everyone, always. We stand in solidarity in the fight against systemic racism and inequality and call for the individual reflection, education, and action of each of us as global citizens. We see our World Championships as an opportunity to celebrate the cultures of all 214 member federations we will host in 2022 while appreciating the unique and special qualities represented by each athlete and guest. We are committed to organizing an event that values diversity and honors inclusion in every aspect of our work.
